Maine resident customers may complete the ATV registration form and submit it by email to [email protected] or by mail to the MDIFW main office in Augusta.
New registrations submitted by email are currently being processed within 1–2 business days. Customers should include the completed registration form and the required supporting documentation:
- For a dealer sale: A bill of sale or invoice that includes the year, make, model, VIN, purchase price, and sales tax paid.
- For a private sale: A bill of sale that includes the year, make, model, VIN, and purchase price, along with a completed Use Tax Certificate.
Customers who submit their registration by email should keep a copy of the sent email as proof of registration while riding until their official registration and stickers arrive.
ATV renewals may continue to be completed online. Customers who renew online should keep their confirmation with them while riding. Official registrations and stickers will be mailed once stickers are available.
