General Assistance helps individuals and families to meet their basic needs. This may include help paying for:
- Household or personal supplies (toiletries, cleaning supplies)
- Housing (e.g., mortgage, rent, room rent, temporary housing)
- Fuel & utilities
- Medical, dental, prescriptions, medical supplies/equipment
- Burial costs

Wed - Closed
Thurs 7 am - 12 pm & 3 pm - 7 pm
Fri 8 am - 2 pm
In the event of a LIFE THREATENING EMERGENCY, occurring after normal Town Office Business Hours, applicants may contact the Lincoln County Sheriffs at (207) 882-7332 and ask them to contact the General Assistance Administrator, Yolanda Violette.
